The events in Japan this week remind us how we live in a world that seems to be out of control–where senseless death, disaster, and pain happen all the time (or so it seems in our gut reactions after a tragedy).  But the Bible affirms that God is in control of it all, and somehow (as wild as it seems) uses tragedies in our lives and in natural disasters for his glory, our good, and to point the world to the need for his mercy and grace.  The Bible study this week is about the healing power of Christ and the need for trusting him no matter what!  Hope you enjoy digging into this passage in Luke 8:40-56 with me!
