Ephesians 6 talks about putting on the full armor of God.  Paul gives a vivid metaphor of the items of battle that a Roman soldier was equipped with.  He equates each piece of armor to a spiritual reality as we take our stand against the schemes of the devil.  Below is a document I put together that explains the battle, the significance of each item of the armor of God, and some applications:
